Catargo's family tree includes some of the worlds legendary sires including Capitol, Caletto 11, Cor De La Bryere, and Calypso 1. With this breeding he has ties to superstars such as Willi Melliger's Calvaro, the stallion Come On and many more. Catargo was Australia's first home bred representative at the 2005 World Showjumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken Belgium ridden by Shane Davidson.

Catargo comped successfully at World Cup level before being retired due to injury. He placed in many prestigious Grand Prix's such as the Betty McVean Memorial Cup and won the Part B Championship at Brisbane Royal Show. Catargo was a member of the Queensland Showjumping Elite Squads for several years.

Catargo's offspring have had much success in the Showjumping and Eventing disciplines...

Fairbanks Cargo had a successful competition career in Australia with many wins and placings up to Three Star level in Eventing. Cargo won the CCI** Class at the Melbourne International 3DE in 2012 as well as winning his first Three Star start at Warwick. Cargo was sold to Japan in 2012 and won the Silver Medal at the Asian Games in 2014. Cargo also competed in Showjumping with success with multiple wins and placing's up to 1.35m level and competed in his first Mini Prix in 2010. Fairbanks Cargo was named Equestrian Queensland Horse of the Year in 2012. Cargo was also placed 4th at Adelaide International Three Day Event in 2011.

Fairbanks Caspar had a successful showjumping career whilst in Australia under the guidance of Shane Davidson. He competed at World Cup level with many wins and placings in 1.45m classes. Caspar placed 4th in the World Cup at Royal Brisbane Show in 2012.

To continue on with the winning streak, Catargo's half sister  Fairbanks Elle has also proven to be a successful eventing and showjumping horse. Elle has multiple wins and placings in eventing up to Two Star level and in 2012 and 2010 took out the prestigious Queensland Eventing Mare of the Year award. She has also proven to be a successful showjumping mare competing in classes up to 1.30m with multiple places and being placed 3rd in the 6 year old Barastoc Young Horse Series for 2011.
